The Green Gourmet family would like to thank each and every one of you who have been supporting our Newtown restaurant since we first opened in 1998, as the pioneer and first ever plant-based eatery in Newtown. An interesting time when there was a complete lack of vegetarian dining in Sydney; let alone vegan.
We are so grateful to have been an integral part of the ever growing Newtown vegan community and now have our efforts focused onto expanding our love across the broader parts of Sydney and beyond including the Central Coast (where we have established a hub for frozen food packs last year around Wyong).
Green Gourmet St Leonards: After a rather tough last 2 years of Covid disruptions, we are glad to continue serving dine in, takeaway and delivered meals from here. We look forward to seeing many more familiar faces soon.
Sydney Vegan Market: similarly, it is great to finally see crowds coming back to this exceptional monthly event where we showcase our Love Buns in their ready to eat glory.
Catering: we are refocusing our efforts to help provide spectacular food for your next special event or work function.
Love Buns: We are aiming to take this brand to the rest of NSW and interstate with our recent launch of our frozen retail packs. We are now welcoming you to nominate your favourite local stores where you would like to get your hands on this versatile and convenient product.
If any of you are wondering who is replacing the Newtown space, well the good news is that our friends Green Mushroom (a vegan Indian restaurant from Glebe; they have delicious onion and garlic free dishes options upon request too) will be opening up there in May; so please show your support for them too.
